What a wild weekend in Texas! Kyle Busch lost his mind (again!), Tony Stewart backed up the smack talk from Martinsville victory lane, and Danica had a respectable race among other things.

Yes, the big news from this, the 24th event of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season is: (drumroll!) Kyle Busch. Who knew that was coming? Raise your hands. Great, everyone got it right.
Seriously, Kyle, what were you thinking? It's one thing to wreck someone intentionally, it is completely another to do so under caution (not even mentioning that it was a championship contender you took out).
It is disrespectful to the sport, sponsors, fans, and other competitors to let such foolishness happen. Come on, Kyle, it's time to grow up. No one questions that you're a talented race car driver, but please use that talent a little more wisely, please.
Meanwhile, Kevin Harvick went on to record his fourth win in nine starts this season. This week, the Camping World Trcuk Series has an off week before heading to Homestead Miami Speedway for the season finale on November 18th. Austin Dillion is the points leader by 20 over Johnny Sauter.

Hey, Danica, welcome back to NASCAR. Danica would record an 11th place finish, a respectable run for having not been in the car in awhile. Denny Hamlin did a great job filling in for Kyle Busch (who, as you may recall was parked after Friday's on-track loss of mind and self-control).
Trevor Bayne became a first time winner this season in the Nationwide Series (always refreshing to see a new face in victory lane).
This weekend, the Nationwide Series heads to Phoenix International Raceway. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. holds a 17 point lead over second place Elliot Sadler. This championship battle is sure to go down to the last laps at Homestead on November 20th and promises to be great to watch.

Tony Stewart did a fantastic job backing up the smack talk from Martinsville victory lane. As many remember, he said Carl Edwards had better be ready because the final three weeks weren't going to be easy on him. Not only is that a bold statement to make, it was made even bolder by backing it up in dominating fashion on Sunday in Texas. We now have just three points seperating the top two drivers heading into Phoenix this weekend.
Those following race track news can see that Phoenix International Raceway is a completely different race track from the one raced on earlier in the season, and this change is sure to throw a curve at the teams. While this championship may well go down to the final laps at Homestead as well, I think a big advantage is going to go to whomever adapts best to the new surface at Phoenix. It's going to be great to watch.
Rick Hendrick Update
Late this afternoon, word was released that Rcik Hendrick was released from the hospital. As many of you may recall, he and wife Linda, sustained some injuries in a plane crash last Monday in Key West, FL.
It sure is great to know everyone will be okay, and I wish Rick a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the track again soon.
Question for Debate:
This week's question for debate, yes, you guessed it:
Should Joe Gibbs Racing take further action against driver Kyle Busch for his actions in Friday's Camping World Truck Series race at Texas?
