SPRINGFIELD, I.L. – The Lafferty team made the long drive to Springfield, Illinois, to compete in the ARCA Remax Series race on the one mile dirt oval. After starting last in the 39 car field, and an early clutch problem that arose, Chris was able to battle to a 24th place finish. “I was having a great time, my crew worked extremely hard and I had to really concentrate on our pit stop because I had no clutch and I had to kill the engine to stop,” explained Chris Lafferty.
